Hi again, my friend has a coon that I might buy from him and it has been drying for about 2 months. If I buy it I will make my attempt to tan it. It is a cased skin. Should I do anything different than I normally do to my squirrels? On my bottle of tanning solution, it says to wash coons twice just because they are greasy skins. Thanks for helping, Erik

One more thing im just wondering. I don't need to pickle it in anything do I?
I'm just a beginner but i'm pretty sure everything you tan has to be pickled because that is what kills the bacteria that ruin skins. But i am no expert just though i'd answer because no one else did. Also i hate to say it but try the search button. It really is the best way to get info.
Thank you for replying Luke it seems that hardly anyone answers me :(
