Hi ! i'm asking any professionnals here on this forum that could help me with tanning steps for making leather from a trout skin. I'm a newbie in fish tanning and i really need help on every step.The purpose of tanning the trout skin is not for mounting but for use as a wallet for leader( fishing leader), for flies, etc. So the softness of the leather obtained is important for me. Can we really make good and durable lesther from trout skin ?
