I was thinking about trying some of Ben`s Spray Tan. I was wondering if any one can tell me the procedures for using this stuff along with anything else that I would need to go with it? Any help would be appreciated! Terry

You will need sodium sulfate DO NOT USE SALT!Simply flesh and shave skin after splitting and turning, then sodium sulfate it ,wash and rinse ,tumble, then spray it now mount it or freeze till later! It yeilds awesome stretch and super soft animals with .01% shrinkage. You will also need skin so soft oil to oil nose, eyes, andlip.
I also have another question. Does this actually tan the hide of preserve it? Can it be used for making rugs? Thanks Terry
I have held off replying to this one, waiting for George to pounce on it. George isn't much on Spray tan. I told him he wasn't very open to this method. Has he ever tried it? Doubtful. This will make my 5th year of using spray tan on whitetails, mule deer, antelope, bobcats and so on. I have absolutely NO problems with it. I have a friend that even uses it on boars. I would suggest it only on shoulder mounts and small life-size, but it is not going to produce the type of mount you are interested in, for a rug. Tan or preservative? I would definately lean towards the preservative side. You might call Ben Mears and talk to him. He is a great guy and supplier. I have taken five years of criticism from other taxidermists for using this product. I usually don't pay much attention to the opinions. I'm enjoying the Best of Categories and Blue ribbons too much.
I'd just like to say that I found your website to be very offensive and I'd appreciate if you'd terminate it before I inform the authorities.
