What is a good product to use to prevent mold from growing on top of your pickle solution and will it effect the PH level.

You need to check your pH!

I have a batch of pickle, formic/oxalic its been in the same barrel. Has been since 1998, has skins in it they too have been in it since then.

No mold yet, the pH is 2.5.

Spores that grow mold are air-borne. If you dont stir your solution - they grow - rapidly! To keep it from happening - stir that pickle!

Thanks

you have to use fungucide in your pickling bath to stop the mold activation. ý advise you to use in the bath %0,2-0,3 fungucide. and be careful when using it becouse these agents are so dangerous.
there are many trade chemicals to use for example: garmin KFT(cognis)
