Has anyone used the tannery called Micro-tan out of IL where

slow
I send my stuff there, at least some of it. They do a nice job, few holes, and they are very friendly and easy to work with. I find they are quite prompt though they can get slow at busy times. They dont do big critters like bear and elk, but are quit good at whitetails. I hoped they wouldnt pop up on the forums so they wouldnt get swamped. Easters Microtan does a great job and I sure dont mind spending an extra 35 to do all the tiurning and splitting. Time I can do other stuff in my shop. They also will do your salted hides as well.
Our company Tarheel Taxidermy services will split, flesh and salt dry capes for $18. We are professional shavers and shave hundreds of capes per week. All capes are completely detailed when fleshed. Turnaround is 1-2 weeks. Skins then can then be forwarded to Carolina Fur Dressing for tanning or sent back salted or frozen. We do bears for $70-110 (includes foot bone removal). References availible upon request. For a complete price list, or for more info email with mailing address or call 919-365-4643.
