I sent 3 oryx and 1 mule deer to Tommy Robinson Taxidermy over a year ago. I also sent him a check for half of tanning charge. He assured me that he could have them tanned and returned in under two months. It has been over a year now and I have talked to him twice on the phone and at least three times with his wife. The first time he said his father was in accident. I told him I was sorry about that and if he couldn't do the tanning to send my capes back and I would find someone else to tan them. a couple months later I got him on the phone and demanded that he return my capes , at this time he told me that he had sent them to another tannery. I called that tannery they didn't have my capes and had no record of ever doing business with him. He has lied to me every time I have talked with him. His wife just tells me that she will have him return my call. He has not returned any call. He will no longer answer phone and won't pick up certified mail. Does anyone know how to contact this thief.

There are many reputable fur dressers in Texas, Why are you sending your stuff to some no name jackleg tanner? Must be price. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Actually I sent my capes because of recomendations and high praise from members of this board. I still believe most people are honest. Unfortunately I don't possess your superior wisdom and all knowing knowledge. With that being said S***W YOU.
to the better business bureau in Texas should help you. Why did you wait so long to do anything? You can be nice only so long. If you are close drive there and demand your capes. Better yet, have your Lawyer write him a letter, send it registered so you get a return reciept of delivery. Case closed.
I'll try that. I've been waiting because he told me that his father had been in an accident and broke his back or neck. He was having to help his family during this time. I did send certified letters but he wouldn't pick them up. The post office will only hold them for a week or so, then the letter is returned to sender.
