Suggestions on keeping shavings out of pulley on flesh..

Submitted by Chris on 03/19/2003. ( ) 66.168.129.174

Just wodering if anyone has come up with a solution for keeping shavings from getting sandwiched between the belt and the pullies on a Dakota 4 fleshing machine. It is a quite running machine until you get a couple of pieces of shavings stuck to the pulley then the vibrations and the noise build until you dissasemble the thing and clean out the crap. Just another reason I am not so found of this machine. Any good solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Try this though...take an old tire innertube and make a chute or sleeve that goes from the bottom of the flesher down past everything. You can then stick an old bucket underneath to catch the shavings.

Thanx Bill

Get a piece of aluminum flashing material, shape it into a "U" shape the size of your debris hole. Cut the bends an inch or so, and bend 90degees out so to have a place for screws to fasten it to the bottom of the table. By the way, I own a Quebec myself and love it. If you need more help, contact me. HAPP
