I want to tan a squirrl hide to mount.here are 3 questions.
1)Is LUTAN F a good tanning agent?
2)Is SYN-OIL TAN compatible with LUTAN F?
3)Will INSTANT PRESERVE work better for my mount?
(note all these products sold in the Van Dykes catalog)

yes ben lutan f is one of the finest tans known to man ! as far as the syn oil tan goes im not knowledgable here , but i would assume that it would be no diff than liqua tan , when used with lutan ,(you guys correct me if im wrong), and yes dp has its place in the big picture , some folks still use it on small critters and mounts that need special attention, hope this helps,ed
Syn-Oil tan is a good tan,but squirrels have a thin skin.DPwill work just fine with less work.
