I am thinking of trying to get into tanning. What are some good books, and how many books will it take.

Hi Mark--last fall I was given a deer hide. All fleshy and bloody.Decided to go to library for instructional books. Wasnt satisfied. Called taxidermists--they would rather be paid than give out info. So I went online and found this site. Little by little learned a lot. Everyone was helpful. My hide came out pretty good for a first-timer. Proud of it tho everyone is tired of my talking about it. It was a lot of work. So go ahead and try tanning. Ask questions on this site. We all were at the starting point at one time. Good luck.

Mark if you go to the top of page, see suppliers and order a catalog it has alot of info on how to tan items with there brand of tanning solution.

You can also go to the orange search button type in tanning, wet tan and see the different response to people on this discussion.

I hope this helps you Kevin.

Thanks
