Beaver tails

I have a customer that wants me to tan several beaver and leave the tails on the pelt. I have never tanned beaver tails. Is there any special consederations to make the tails tan well and look good. Any help would be great. Thank you. Garrett Unrein

But the short answer to your question is Yes it will tan, no it will not look good, more like a brown turnip.

I just made a mold of a beaver tail. The first pull from the mold looks great. Even picked up the hairs on the tail. I can supply you with a couple of castings if you need. I can give measurements if needed. $15 each. Let me know if you want a couple.
