New Chicken farmer. Got a live trap for the killing coon coming 'round. Thinking of tanning his hide, don't know how.
Any easy way to do this? I have had good barbecued coon. How's that done?
Thanks a bunch for any help sent my way. I'd like to teach my teenagers how to feed themselves these days and myself apparently, hahaaa!

Probaly somthing easy to do would be to flesh the hide salt it, then buy one of these tanning solutions that you rub into the hide. I think cabelas sells one type called deer hunters hide tanning formula. Rub that into the hide let it dry then break your hide. Pretty cheap tan.Just an idea! If you don't want to do the work a taxidermist on average will charge about 50 bucks to skin flesh tan etc. Hope this helps.Chase
