I have now tanned a couple of skunks that I thought came out pretty nice except that the tails both have grease on them and are sticky to the touch, I tanned them about 2 months ago using lutan f, and they having just been hanging since. Is there a way to get the grease out now. Please let me know. Thanks

Keep washing! This assumes your tail is already perfectly fleshed, as mine is. Where the only problem is the grease. I ran mine, a Lutan-F pelt as well, through 2 baths of odorless mineral spirits and Dawn, and the tail is still greasy.
I'm going to re-tan using a washable tan, so I can REALLY wash the dang thing next time.
Washing is the only solution. And believe me, I loaded this guy up on acid bate, degreaser, all that jazz, during each successive step in tanning. It was Epo-Grip degeraser btw...
