I am needing Sea Otters tanned but I cannot find any where that can do the hides. WHY? Being Alaskan Native makes it legal as long as I register with Fish & Game but I cant tan the hide anywhere. Any Ideas

I had a few tanned by a guy that was leasing a tannery from ralph ring in anchorage a few years ago but was not real pleased with the results. I heard that shismarif tannery will tan them and another in Texas has the correct paperwork to do it leagely. Whoever seals your hides should have a list of tannerys that can do it. Where are you getting your otters at? I am working on tanning some that I have had dried for a few years now, home tanning.
