tanning a fox

I trapped a fox and i skined and fleshed it. Then i froze it. Do i have to salt and dry it before i tan it, or can i just let it thaw out and then tan it using Ritels ez-100.
I am using the fur for decoration on my capote for a mountain man rondevu

Salting and drying it is best!

Salting and drying it ensures the fur is tight before you begin the tanning process. You could air dry it - but typically it is more difficult to fully relax it, than if it were salted. I recommend thawing it, and then salting it, and drying it.

Thanks
