I tanned a few hides several weeks ago and they have dried. I did not break them I just oiled them and let them dry. I want to get them as soft as possible. How do I go about breaking them now. Do I have to rehydrate them? They are tanned with Lutan-F. I have 2 elk, two WT Deer and a couple bobcat hides.

doing this requires alot of hard work I hope your prepared I tried it once and took me about a day on a breaking bar to get them soft when I did it they were right out of the tannery and dried as I was breaking thiem they came of pretty soft I guess
