I bought a leather coat from Germany on an e-bay auction. It is a thick leather black trench coat, is well made, and fits perfectly. The problem is that it has a strange odor. I bought some leather odor neutralizer which has had no effect. Is there something that can be done or am I just out of luck? Thanks

You risk loosing much of the nice tan, but I bet the coat smells like Menhaden Oil. One town I was able to track down the tannery and by smell alone. I would simply air it out in front of a fan for several days.
