Caribou Smells

Submitted by LS on 06/04/2003. ( ) 198.110.228.11

A friend mounted a Caribou. He is great at fleshing, turning, salting dry and pickling. He neutralized, washed the cape and applied liqua tan. He mounted it.The Caribou stayed really wet for 2 weeks. We applied air blowers. Finally dried. Looks good hair tight.
But after a month, there is a smell. Checked archives (ferbrezes).

Is there anything else that can be done? Open for suggestions.

With caribou the hair can be very thick, and insulating. When you do get it mounted you should put a fan on it to get it dry. We put fans on most everything, it does'nt matter what it was tanned with. You can try the ferbreeze not sure if it will work ? if the hair is really thick. You may have to take some pert plus with conditioner mix it in a bucket of water and sponge it through the hair then clear water through the hair. Groom and put some fans on it, What your smelling would be mold from the wetness. If it is not completely dry now you may dry it and it could go away, Hair Sheen would help but I think your problem may be deeper. Feel free to call and we can discuss some other options for you.
