I am in the process of making leg gaiters out of a whitetail hide. I am wondering if anyone has done this before and might have some advice. Is there anywhere that I could find leather prints that show how to make such accesories.

Keep in mind that WT hair is hollow and as it dries out with age - it will tend to become stiff and snap off at the base of the hair. It begins to shed - and there is no way to stop it. Its only a hair at a time - but it does shed. This is particularly true if the piece is rubbing against something.
