Another question on the turkey feet. I want to do these right and they are still frozen. I just wondering if i can soak them to get 'em soft?

Thank you,
Erik

Erik, Unless the feet are freezer burned, when you thaw them out, they are ready for injecting as soon as they are thawed.Turkey feet thaw out very fast when they are frozen by themselves & were de-meated before they were frozen. So be ready to work on them within an hour after you take them out.If the feet do need soaking & water won't do the trick ,try denatured alcohol.I have had good luck with it.Any more questions, just post them. De-meating

Erik, De-meating is simply removing all meat, flesh,& tendons that are located from the joint up the drumstick. The marrow should also be removed out of the bone with borax & a wire.I hope that I understand what your project is. Are you mounting a turkey or just preserving the feet for a plaque display? Brian
