De-meating

I have to de meat my turkey feet and it is for preserving and putting on plaque. I dont know how to do this they are still frozen, and would like some directions.

Erik, De-meating a turkey leg is simply scraping all of the meat,fat,& tendons off of the leg bone.This is basically removing the meat that is called the drumstick.However, if all you are going to do is preserve them for a plaque,the drumstick is not involved.I usually cut the leg off just below the knuckle.Then clean all of the marrow out of the bone with borax & a wire.Next, cap the leg off with apoxie sculpt.Now you are ready to inject your legs with fantastic cast or similar product & attach to the plaque.You may want to paint the sculpting material to blend with the leg.
