I'am about to try mounting a deer with a hide that has been tanned by a company. Have done a lot of heads using tanning cream but a customer has a tanned hide he wants mounted and figured i would give this a shot. My question is can I rehydrate the hide do all of the thinning and repair work (holes) and then freeze the hide until I'am ready to mount it. And if yes when ready to mount can it come out of the freezer and right to the mounting stage.Or is there a different way to go about this do my mounts in stages and would like not to mess up my system or this guys hide. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me on this subject.

Shouldn't be a problem,if there is I wouldn't use that company again.
