I want to send a special thank you and compliment to Brian McDonald and the others at Wildlife Creations in Childersburg, AL for doing an excellent job and being more than helpful in tanning my whitetail hides for me.
I am a beginning taxidermist who is doing my own mounts for fun but do not have time or interest in the tanning part. I have been reading the messages on this forum just to learn and enjoy hearing what the experts have to say about the taxidermy industry. From this forum I also learned that it would be better for me to find a professional to tan my hides if I wanted the mounts to turn out. Others who have seen my mounts, including the taxidermist who trained me, said they look great. I am convinced that I would not receive that feedback if I did not find a reliable tanning service to help me out.
This forum is where I found Brian McDonald and Wildlife Creations. So again, thank you Brian. And if there is anyone else out there looking for a reliable tannery give him a call. Also thanks to this forum for the information and enjoyable reading.
