O.k here it goes. I got some skins that were previously salted and it might have a chance of having some bacteria. Also, it needs to be degreased. I want to put it in a auto tanner but don't know what really to do. Let me tell you what I know. After fleshing and taking off all red meat and splitting the nessassry parts i'll put softening oils and tanning crystals inside the tanner. But before I do that, what should I do to prep the bateria hides that has been salted? Finally, after I get through tanning I would degrease the specie. But should I do it when it's in the machine? Would it harm the chemicals inside? Oh! One more question. Is the tanning crystals from Van Dykes and the crystals from Steve different? If so where can I get Steves?
