Questions about cream tan.

I read in the archives that several of you like to use the JRTS. I understand the company that offered it got bought out. Is it still available? Also, I noticed that one of the ingredients was lanolin. I wondered how that would work for tanning a sheep hide, since you have to use a special degreaser to get the lanolin out to begin with? Is using the cream tan going to defeat the purpose, so to speak?

Is still sold by John Rinehart through McKenzie Supply company.

IMHO, no one should ever try to tan domestic sheep hides. These need to be done at a tannery that has the capability to remove that lanolin completely. I just don't think home tans or shop tans cut it.

Good stuff

I have used this tanning cream on whitetails and think it is a wonderful product. There is no down time waiting for the cape to get tanned,no need to rehydrate or strech. I just got a cape back from a tanner and having trouble trying to get it to strech not so with the cream. I would highly recommend it. A side note maybe george can answer is there anything besides sheep that you would not use the cream on. I had never heard that it would not work on anything would be a big help to make a list of things that it won't work on.Thanks
Bill
