Any suggestion for slipper soles?

Submitted by Kim Smith on 07/01/2003. ( k_frog100@hotmail.com ) 67.3.10.76

I hope to make some slippers this winter with some of my bunnie hides, but the skins are too thin I think to be soles themselves. Any ideas on what hides would wear well for soles?

Thanks,

Kim Smith

Thanks,

Moose or Elk

Both are quite thick in spots, so they may be another possibility. Contact Quil Ceda Tanning they sell both. Use the Search on the left, I don't have the phone number handy, sorry.

Must be an "old" thing

I had typed in moose and then nuked it when I saw Old Farthad beat me to it. Kim, your bunny hide also won't be a good choice for an outside leather either. You're going to need doeskin to attach it to for strength. Quil Ceda should have them both.
