I recently purchased a Necker 600 for fleshing raccoon and have a question. The concave side of the blade is single beveled and came with an aproximate 1/32" land. This side of the blade is suppose to be dull but should this land be taken down so that is resembles the convex side but without the sharp, "knife edge" (no land)?

I have sharpened mine like a razor on both sides. I think that it makes my fleshing chores much easier. good luck
