I am using Van Dykes curatan kit(hair off)to tan 2 deer hides. There is no info in the directions on how to dispose of the chemicals (lime, pickling crystals, etc)afterwards. Are they safe enough to go into a septic tank or in the yard? Any info/experience would be great. Couldn't find any info with search button.

Call Van Dykes and request an MSDS sheet on the products you are concerned about. They will send them to you. This is what I was told anyhow. I am in the process of requesting them myself. Good luck!
