Aluminum potash is aluminum potassium sulfate and should be available through industrial chemical suppliers. Don't quite know what it's used in taxidermy for, but unless the EPA is into it, it should be available. Aluminum sulfate is available through taxidermy suppliers for tanning and potash is basically lye anyway, I think, for hair removal. I don't think I've ever seen AlKSO4 sold in taxidermy supply catalogs, however.

Lye is NaOH or sodium hydroxide, not the same as alum...
