Looking for a tannery to handle "several" deer hides this fall. Needs to be in the southeast area. Had a phone # for one in Florida that would take hides in trade, but cannot find it after saving the card all year. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

You must be talking about flat hide tanning (or at least I HOPE you are). Just scroll up to the top of this page and click on the "Links" header. That may or may not be the kind of tannery you're looking for, but I for one hate that "in trade" business even for flat hides. I actually once got a small whitetail hide back "in trade" for a huge mule deer hide I'd sent off.
