I tried the soak method using preserve it on caribou velvet. The antlers where beginning to spoil so I knew it probably would'nt work.
They slipped hair badly after soaking and now I have the skin dried onto the antlers. What can I soak them in to remove the dried on velvet? Will just water loosen the preserve it or do I need something else?

Use a good Commercial Relaxing agent!

since they appear to not have taken well due to having deteriorated - I'd soak them in a good relaxing agent to soften up the velvet and to make it easy to strip. I'd use our Ultra-Soft (US-609) product. No Salt - No Bacteriacide - just 1 fluid ounce to each 1 gallon of water used. I'd put them in at 5 PM and they should be ready by 10 AM the next morning.
