Forgive me...know nothing about this other than I need help. I rescued a zebra skin that was a top on a drum. It is so stiff. I soaked it in the tub for a few days then tacked it to a board. As it dried, it pulled away from the nails, and became naturally curly, and stiff a board. After that, I tried Neetsfoot oil but it didn't touch it. I would like to soften it enough to get it into a frame to put on the wall.
Any help would be appreciated...it is just too beautiful to trash.
