is there a special kind of salt used .

I have used corse salt, and bran on the coyote skins that I have done, is there another method, I now have a bear hanging in the shed ready to skin, my first attempt on a bear skin. any suggestions.

Thats all I have used for over 30 years now.....at least two tons a year to give you an idea.

thanks Buzzi,,thats a heck of alot of salt. I hope this bear hide works out, first one I have done, lots of fat on it.

before you salt, and use fine grain salt.
