I am considering attending the montana school of taxidermy commercial tanning class, has anyone attended this course? does anyone have any information on this school?

It's not the best school around. You are not taught all aspects of tanning, like hair-off tanning. If you bring your own hides to tan hair off, you will not receive assistance or training or education on this process. Don't bring animal skins that have odors (like skunk) as he will not let you bring them into the shop nor will he teach you how to remove the odors. His personality is not well-suited for teaching. You will not receive attention or instruction if he does not like you. He spends a lot of time talking which leaves little time to get your work done. The last week of class is a waste as you don't do a lot because he's winding things down to get you out of there. He wants a lot of money for learning half of a trade.
