Little or no money

There is really no way to do it with little or no money.
You could research brain tanning at your local library and try it out. You could also just salt the skin and tack it to a piece of ply wood and scrape it down till it is paper thin and then rub some oil into the dried skin and hope it will stay soft and not rot. Tannig really takes some hard work and you will have ot spend money to get something nice. If you only want leather, it will cost around 20 to 30 to have a tannery tan it. If you want the skin with the fur on, it will cost a bit more. You will have to take it to a taxidermist that has a account with the tannery though.
Feel free to E-mail me and I can try and help you get started, but you will have to get some things to tan yourself.

Try braintan.com. You can tan any hide with little or no money if you're willing to spend the time and put forth some effort. A silky soft braintanned hide is a thing of beauty and requires no chemicals to produce. I would not suggest a big buck for your first project or a hair on hide.
