? about building plywood tumbler

been in the archives and still no anwser. planning on building
a tumbler, is 4x6 large enough or should i go 4x8? are they 4 sided or six sided? and lastly is 1/2 inch plywood thick enough?

Why don't you use a plastic drum with a small electric motor. Look at it and lay it out, it's not that hard to make and it would save alot of weight. Just an idea!

i do have a barrel drum, but want one large enough to break and soften large hides like elk, buffalo and moose.

If I were to build it it would be made with 3/4 plywood ecspecially were the pully ect would hook up to it. I would also run a six sided tumbler because it would roll the hide alot softer other than with a four sideed on which would roll then drop the hide
