just had a bear brought in that has been in the freezer for a year and was heavily salted, just wondering if i will have any trouble?

Since noone on this forum is where you are at, how do you expect them to say anything knowledgable about the hide.
They cannot inspect it over the internet.
Freezing and heavy salting don't mix. Salt prevents the hide from freezing to an extent and a year is a long time to be partically frozen. I wouldn't have taken it in but I have never personally dealt with this situation. Post what the outcome is once you get in to it!

If you are ready to use the hide. You can thaw it out, dry it, then
tan it. It will do better sitting around tanned than it will do in the
freezer. If you are not ready to tan, then try shaking the excess salt
out of the hide and putting it in deep freeze. Joe has an excellent point,
but -20 to -10 should freeze it sufficiently.
