Liquatan ok for domestic sheepskins?

Is liquatan a good option for tanning domestic sheepskins? I have three skins I'm working on right now; currently in the pickle. I normally use EZtan for large stuff, but these things are so heavy when wet, I'd rather just neutralize and paint on the liquatan rather than go through another soaking step. Not trying to be lazy.. but my back is giving out on me !

Also, for rugs like these, do they need oiling? The Liquatan doesn't call for any oiling, but that doesn't seem quite right.

Thanks,
Amy

Yes, Oil after 1 day of Liqua-tan soaking in, folded together in-half. Then open up until hide does not look wet anymore, then oil. I prefer Liqua-soft for all oiling, but any GOOD oil should work.
