does a tumbler work good on a cape that has been done with the liqua tan process?Or are there only certain other chemical tanning procedures that work?

A tumbler is not neccessary for shoulder mounts. abd yes many have use LiqaTan and tumblers.
A tumbler is used to remove excess moisture out of a cape or hide, clean, and break a hide if you have a big enough one. It will clean excess liquid tan from the hair or fur if some mineral spirits are mixed with the saw dust. Thats about it for tumbler uses, also drying bird feathers.
