i just have a quick question for those of you that use a bench grinder to flesh. do you use the wire brush side or the stone side?
thanks for the help.

I use the wire wheel on numerous fleshing duties. 95% of my fleshing is with the knife, very fast and I don't have to worry about a knife snatching the hide out of my hand and twirling it at 1750 rpm.
If you don't know from common sence, you better stick with somthing like sharpening pencils for a living.
yup that sucks startles the crap out of me every time.
now why would we get upset with you asking this question? This one is legite. Now if you were asking what to do with your deer that you killed last night and it is now laying in a bathtub full of ice and you want to mount it yourself because you will not pay a taxidermist to do that for you since taxidermy is so easy anyway and you just want us to tell you for free how to mount one step by step, then yes we would get upset. LOL
And dont forget the goggles. Nothing stings as good as little chunks of meat full of chemicles. And stings for days.
No crapting when he says watch the eyes. "Eye" went all 187 on a grizzly cub wit a loose leaf notebook and some of tha bitz and piecez went up in my mug. That waz three years ago. Now my eye is all lazy and crap. Not only that, my good eye is lazy, too! Now peeps have trouble talking to me since I don't look in thur eyez. "BEE" careful hot shot. No craptin'!
thanks to DEERMEISTER for the help. i usually use a knife to flesh too but this one is really giving me some trouble. i was just thinking of using the edge of a fresh stone because it kind of has a sharp edge like a fleshing machine. but thanks.. i gotta get back to my bathtub now..... ive got 3 deer, 2 rabbits, 1 fish, and a fox sitting in some ice and i dont want the wife to see before she gets home.. hehe :0
