I just finished applying liqua tan to 3 whitetail capes. They are all smaller capes 13", 15", 16" under the ears.
I bought Kolbochs kit from WASCO and when I was done I still had about a 1/4 bottle of the tan left. Did I use enough? I applied it with a 2 1/5" paint brush in even layers covering everything.

You should average around 8 deer capes per quart. More is not always better. Just apply a smooth even coat; all the way to the edges. If you use too much; youll have an oily mess! Let it penetrate for 5 or six hours or even overnight, and you can freeze or mount.
I let the tan sit for 14 hours, rolled up with face on the out side of the role, double bagged and froze.
The only thing I didn't do was tumble before I froze, they were still wet from neutralizing. Figure I can tumble before mounting.
