Unless your son owns or has access to a shaving machine - my advice is to send it to a Tannery for tanning! Moose hides require shaving to make them soft and supple. Otherwise you will get a tanned skin - but it will be stiff as a board!
I've not had a lot of experience with moose, but the fact that it is stinking can not be a good sign can it guys?
Not a good sign. Sure hope he knows something about "shaving" and does not mistake for daddy's razor.
