Had a beautiful axis unlined rug which got wet and now doesn't lay exactly flat. Any easy way to get it back to that status?
Also got large steer hide tanned but it wasn't trimmed or worked flat. Anyway to get the to the flat condition without sending it back to the taxidermist to stretch and pay out the nose for it?

Im not going to promise this will work. But I would try this. Get 2 sheets of plywood, oil hide, lay out flat on sheet of plywood, lay 2nd sheet on top then pile on the weight. Let it sit for a day or so and see what happens.
