Just ask for drying salt. Fine grain salt. I get salt from a water treatment company. You might wanna try that too.
Morton's Table Salt, non-iodized (not that that part of it matters) is about 30 cents a pound. For 10 bucks you can get enough salt to do over a dozen deer.
Hank do live near a Tractor Supply Store. If so ask for stock salt this comes in 50lb bags it cheap it,s all I use.
Fifty pounds of stock salt for $3.48 , can't beat it !
Also known as mixing salt at feed stores
morton kleer salt is the best as it is coarse and it will not brick up so bad. But if your local feed mill does not have salt and i would be amazed if they don't (second biggest nutrient for cattle, second to water) you can also ask for kiln dried but whatever brand the carser the better as long as it is granular not rock
Spencer feed in spencer ohio. About 30 miles sw of Cleveland.
Hey when I asked the mills and the T.S.C. stores I asked for granular non-iodized salt and they said they never heard of it like I was dumb or something. See now you told me a new name for it and I wont have any problems Im sure. Thanks for the help fella's.
