chinchilla tanning/dressing?

I'd like to inquire if anyone could advise me how to tan/dress chinchilla pelts/skins, and which product to use & where to order it from, please.

Thank You,

Mark.

Enjoy filling your rinse vats with little floating hairs. The chinchilla seems to lose the most fur in dressing of any species. Those little hairs WILL clog up stuff!

Any good commercial tanning method will do, but if you don't set the hairs rock solid before you start, your finished product will always come out with at least one cruddy spot. In a chinchilla that means your $60 skin just became a $15 skin.

If you're dressing these skins for a possible dual purpose - like wearing or mounting - avoid alum. It will cause thin, papery skins which rip quite easily in the future.
