I wouldn't

For if that person does hjis own work or even sends it out, they or him has to put it on the fleshing machine or wire wheel it. In the end all that sewing would be cut or riped out. Fix it when it's wet tanned, not dry.

You always sew later

Sewing Is done just prior to mounting
sewing Is done after the tan and after washing and rinsing
let It drip dry somewhat then do the final touches like sew up bullet and arrow holes, trim bear toes

turn ears

This Is the time also to turn ears
and fit and trim the ear liners
as well as sewing bullet & arrow holes up
you turn the ears after the tan...I think some
are getting confused..the tan takes the slickness out of everything
and strengthens the ears so turn the ears now

thanks

fleshing the muzzle of a white tail deer

What is the easiest way to flesh a white tail nose and around the head area?

But las...

I suppose if you are fleshing and going straight to a tanning machine, that would work, but what about if you're turning and fleshing then salting prior to a Lutan F (slow) tan? Wouldn't the ear insides need to be salted if you're salting and hanging a cape for 24 plus hours?
