Guys I just ordered some krowtann2000 and my question is this since I have never used it. Im going to be tanning some capes for mounts but I also have full hides of the deer that my wife wants done to come out soft and flexible so she can drape them over the backs of the chairs in our sunken pit living room. My question is will krowtann give me that soft skin or do I have to tan with something different or is there another step I can add to the krowtann to acheive this?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Some tana are a bit stiffer, chrome tanned for one.
But you can soft tan to a point with almost any tan. The softness is from being broken or tumbled while the skin is drying.
Smoe leathers are filled, this makes them like harness leather.
Just call Ozark Woods (hopefully that is where you got it...lol), and order some Krow-Oil. Works great for making the soft leather...but like John C said...tumble and break, and tumble and break. The more oil, breaking and tumbling the softer the leather will turn out. Oh yeah, the Krow-Oil should come with the detailed directions for making the soft leather. Hope this helps.
