Can someone please give me some advice on how to make a tanned deer cape soft after it has been tanned! i've been using lutan-f and then oiling the hide with soft-tan. once the cape dries, it's rock hard. is there anything you can apply to the cape to soften it up or do you have to break the cape down while it is drying. I'm trying to make a hide that is soft.
