I have used both. I am not sure about dumping the Lutan -F down the drain but the EZE-100 is safe to dispose of anywhere. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it turns inert and can be used like fertilizer after use.

Chemicals will over-whelm your septic system - quite possibly killing off the Bacteria there that are neccessary to break down household wastes. I wouldnt do it to a septic system.
On a City sewage system - its a different story. As long as the amounts are small - they probably wouldnt notice it.
By the way - Both EZ-100 and Lutan F are considered enviromentally safe - it's the Salt that is a problem.
