does any body else out there use two gallons of hot water(temperature-105-110 degrees) and 2 pounds of tanning crystals per average deer cape in their auto-tanner and if you do are there any adverse effects from doing so?

The amount of tanning agent that gets into the skin is 95% dependent on the concentration in the solution.
Hence you can tan one cape in 1 gallon on 20 gallons as long as the concentration is the same - 1 pound crystal to 1 gallon water.
