Is it possible to clean your furs by tumbeling in borax? I heard it makes furs mothproof. Please let me know if there is a better substance to tumble with. Thanks!

If you tumble a fur in Borax it is going to make a mess. I tumble fur in hardwood sawdust and birds in corncob grit.
and dust it with borax for moth proofing. Borax is too abrasive for tumbling.
